Musical programme was held on 27th, 28th of February 2010 and 2nd March 2010. Purpose of this event was to educate students how to distinguish between meaningless and meaningful songs. Popular lyrics writers and music directors were present.

Sakya Best Performers Award Ceremony 2008 was held on the 9th June 2009 at the BMICH Main Hall. Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, Minister of Agricultural Development & Agrarian Services, was the chief guest. Hon.Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Minister for Minister of State Revenue and Finance was the Special Guest. 158 Top performers from the GCE (A/L) 2008 Examination were presented awards at this event. The Programme also included guest apperances by Popular Artists - Uresha Ravihari, Kasun Kalhara and the Popular Group - Centigradez : All Alumni of Sakya.
